Green C Fichtner is wonderful, as always. I wouldn't consider this a thriller though, more of an instropective of a man in crisis. Sad story. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/25 Full Review Amy P If I could rate it no stars I would. I wasted an hour and a half of my life watching this movie THINKING it would pick up the pace. Yeah, it didn't. SO I told myself "Well, you've watched this much of it, go ahead and finish it." OHHH EMMMMM GEEEEEEE! I would rather watch paint dry. Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Esteban V This movie was terrible. No creative writing whatsoever and the man character was a douche even though he had played incredible roles in the past. I finished the film and it was worst than I previously thought it would be. Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/25/24 Full Review Edward B This film could easily be condensed to a 25 minute film .. nothing really happens which is OK but the payoff at the end is not worth the watch avoid and save your time Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/13/24 Full Review ckentmay g This is an underrated film if watched through the right lens. It's an anxious, claustrophobic piece that's acted and paced more like a short story or a play than a feature film. Cheever or Updike could have written it and set it along the Hudson River or the Main Line. It works in a nameless Los Angeles suburb, too. There's not a moment of joy in the whole script. Even the juiciest, most tempting pleasures are doomed to rot: the shallow bravado of the red Corvette, the sticky loneliness of the tomato garden, and all those human relationships, ruined and drained of all pleasure long before the end finally comes, as it does, as it must. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/08/24 Full Review Chad P When I read most of the reviews about this film, it makes me sick.I think people have forgotten that cinema is just a way of telling stories. I am really fed up of Marvel stuff and films like that, because they just kill real entertainment. They bring the fake Idea that you need special effect and suspense for a film to be good.William Fichtner's performance is bluffing. His part is really hard to play. Because you need a lot of humility to bring to life such a character. It's just a story of an ordinary man, who's got a dull life and a wife who doesn't seem to care for him. ( Am I the only one that was shocked by the way she kicks him out ? ). And his life is going to be changed forever when a new young couple moves in next door. Great acting. Great filming. Great pace. But of course you need to be a bit interested by movies, people and sobriety in acting. if you look for the next transformers, this is definitely not for you.
